On behalf of the Lahainaluna High School Foundation, welcome to our website. We hope that you enjoy learning more about the Foundation and our work at the school and in our West Maui community.
The Lahainaluna High School Foundation was formed in 2000, with the vision of improving the educational experience of the school through a framework that would allow donors the ability to give through a tax exempt organization that was outside the realm of the Department of Education. As a result, we have partnered with the Hawaii Community Foundation to form scholarship, giving programs, and endowment funds that will secure the long term future of the Foundation. We have also set up a legacy program and most importantly, provided a means that allows individual donors to direct their gifts to the department, club, or project of their choice. Your donation to the Lahainaluna High School Foundation is 100% tax deductible under current IRS regulations.
One of our key goals with the Foundation is to promote partnerships with the school, the Department of Education, our community and our alumni. We also get our students involved by inviting them to sit on various committees. Our student board members have benefited from their work with the Foundation and have helped shape the organization to where it is today. They have typically gone on to successful college careers.
We are very blessed to be a part of the culture of Lahainaluna High School. This is a school with rich tradition and heritage. The Foundation is dedicated to contributing to educational excellence at the school, but can only do this through the generosity of our donors.
